La Manzanilla has a large number of vacation rentals for those who would like a little (or a LOT) more comfort than the modest hotels in the area. They generally rent by the night (3-night minimum) or by the week or month. Prices vary by location, number of rooms, and time of year. High season is mid-November through March. Vacation rentals typically include a weekly cleaning service, water delivery, use of the gardens, and maybe a secured parking space.
Vacation rentals are located on the beach, in the village, on the hill, or across the arroyo. Beach rentals give you the freedom of enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean at any time. Village rentals allow you to be immersed in La Manzanilla’s native culture and people, as you will have Mexican families, their chickens (roosters), dogs and children as your neighbors. Village rentals usually do not have a view, unless you climb up to the top of a third floor roof. Being on the hill is nice as you can expect to enjoy incredible sunset views from a gracious outdoor deck specifically designed for such occasions. The arroyo is the dry river bed (during the winter months) at the south end of town where a large number of new homes are currently being built. The arroyo properties are about an 8-minute stroll to the beach and center of town. Click Here to view all vacation rentals.
