La Manzanilla School Supply Drive

As you head back to La Manzanilla for the winter why not bring a few school supplies with you to donate to La Catalina Foundation?  No room in your suitcase? No worries, lots of things can be purchase here in town.  All supplies can be dropped off at the LCF office, located at #199 Playa Dorada from 4pm-7pm M-F.  The office is located behind the Kindergarten.  Here is a list of items needed.

Wish Lists

Each year the area schools provide us with a list of items they need.  We accept donation throughout the year.  If you like to make an in-kind donation of some of the below items please email us to arrange a day/time to drop items off at our office.

La Catalina Foundation Needs:

  • Books in Spanish or bilingual Spanish/English books for Rural Literacy Project (RLP) 
  • English Storybooks (all levels)
  • ESL teaching materials
  • CDs with songs for English classes (suitable for children through adults)
  • Portable CD player
  • Colored Markers
  • Pencils
  • Glitter
  • Dry erase pens
  • Glue gun and refill glue
  • Cutter
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Colored Construction Paper
  • Copy Paper
  • Paints (acrylic & water color)

  • Arts & Crafts supplies for children’s summer Arts & English Camp
  • Sports equipment (volleyball, all purpose balls for games, jump ropes)

  • 35 white kid’s shirts (assortment of sm, med and lg) and 5 large adult white t-shirts for Summer Camp
  • Donations for “A Night under the Stars” Auction Fundraiser held annually in February (bikes, art pieces, new & used merchandise, and gift certificates for services)
  • Gifts for teacher appreciation bags (for 30 gift bags for the public school teachers and staff in La Manzanilla every January).  Items needed include small gifts such as office supplies, personal gifts such as candles, soaps, candies, etc.)
